The European Union

The European union was manliy use to join other contries and also to extented more population throughtout Eurpope. Also it was use because people wanted to bult a stronger army and have an easier time to trade with other people. The prevents that this has is that if you attake one country then you have to fight with every one that is in the union to.
This is good because this help contries look out for one other.

It was a shiny steel sphere about 23 inches across with four antennas trailing behind it. Russian engineers wanted to make sure that people around the globe could both see and hear it.

Cuban Missile Crisis

The Cuban Missile Crisis was the dangerest the world ever came to nuclear war. The United States armed were at their highest state ever and Soviet field commanders in Cuba were prepared to use battlefield nuclear weapons to defend the island if it was invaded. Luckily, thanks to the support of two men thewar was over .

In 1962, the Soviet Union was desperately behind the United States in the arms race. Soviet missiles were only powerful enough to be launched against Europe but U.S. missiles were capable of striking the entire Soviet Union. In late April 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev conceived the idea of placing intermediate-range missiles in Cuba. A deployment in Cuba would double the Soviet strategic arsenal and provide a real deterrent to a potential U.S. attack against the Soviet Union.

Meanwhile, Fidel Castro was looking for a way to defend his island nation from an attack by the U.S. Ever since the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, Castro felt a second attack was inevitable. Consequently, he approved of Khrushchev's plan to place missiles on the island. In the summer of 1962 the Soviet Union worked quickly and secretly to build its missile installations in Cuba.

NATO and The Warsaw Pact

NATO is an organization that includes many countries in Europe and North America. The major reason of NATO was that the countries involved wanted a good defense alliance so that if one of them were attacked all of the other countries in NATO would come. Up until 1950 NATO was somewhat of an agreement for the U.S. to protect other members. At this time there were no military or administrative structures. The beginning of the Korean war initiated the creation of a military command system along with an expansion of the organization.
As the western powers' relationship with the Soviet Union worsened NATO's importance grew. Some of the reasons that the Western leaders felt threatened by the Soviet Union were the installation of Communist governments in Eastern Europe, their increasing territorial demands, and their support for guerrilla warfare in Greece.
Another major threat felt by European countries was when the Soviet Union's military capability began to reach that of the Western Powers. Some of the European members began to doubt that the U.S. would honor the agreement to protect them. The events in Czechoslovakia in 1968 changed the minds of the Europeans, and NATO was then viewed as a source for security by them. America's involvement in Vietnam, though, brought down Europe's confidence in the U.S.'s capabilities. While this was occuring the Soviets continued to build up their arsenal. NATO began a new program in 1979 which would help build up defense, as well as new efforts toward stopping the Soviet Union from building up their nuclear weapons.

Flim lesson Schindles list

I think that this movie was very painful because so many people died in the concentration camps. This movie described the bad images of the concentration camps and it was painful because so many people died including the children who didn't work.
I think that the concentration camps were very bad because first people were sent to the camps to work for hours and hours without eating or spelling. If you decide to quit you better prayed that they wouldn't have killed you by the engd of the day. I think that the images that will stay with me will be the childeren that deid and the horror of people who deid in the concentration camps.

Film lesson-"Night of Fog"

My reation to the flim was very painful because the movie was only about killing the jews.
It was about the jews being killed by the Germans. I belivie that all this was very bad and not worth it because all these jews died because they thought that the jews were better then them.
I think that the schinder list was very good because it has a better veiw of the holocaust.
I also think that it was a waist of time trying too get a hole popuation killed. I think that they did all that for nothing becaues it just a waist of time.

Germany at war-ww2

Propaganda is the message that is being influence of a opinion of a person.
This poster is about the Nazis confidently produced a strikingly effective black-and-white election poster. It is an image of Hitler's head, set in stark contrast to a black background. Below the face of Hitler was written just one word - 'HITLER!
Germany and other nations are scared because if any one is trying to mess around with Hitler
then it most likely that it would be that persons or countries funeral. On the poster Hitler is trying to take control over the whole world but he fails because he tries to defeat Russia and ends up losing. The US defeats Hitler. Other countries around the world are now save because they don't have to worry about Hitler any more.
